This collection marks a significant moment in my journey as an artist. It represents so much more than simply sharing a collection. It is fragments of a life. My life written in paint.
Art has always been part of who I am. I grew up surrounded by creativity, with a strong artistic lineage woven through my family. My childhood was spent alongside my mother as she painted in her studio. Today, as a mother to four, creating in my own studio feels full circle. A return to that same sense of freedom, curiosity and connection.
I have always been drawn to the raw, organic, and imperfect beauty found in nature. This influence is reflected throughout my work, through spontaneous brushstrokes, considered negative space, organic forms, and compositions that allow room for emotion and interpretation.
Working primarily in oils and acrylics, I move between mediums depending on what each piece requires. Each piece begins with a feeling rather than a fixed idea. I allow the artwork to guide my choices, responding to colours, texture, composition, and the energy as it emerges through the process.
The work sits between abstraction and portraiture. Figures take shape, hold structure, and then dissolve, much like life itself. Evocative studies in presence and feeling, exploring what is seen and what fades.
An exploration of my experiences, of the layers that shape me. Loss, resilience, transformation, joy, appreciation, and the search for clarity and balance.
A sharing of so much more than a collection. It is fragments of a lifetime. My life written in paint.
It is my hope that my collectors extract their own meaning within it too.
